How long do the Brewers march out 1/3rd of their regulars with averages under the Mendoza Line?

My goodness, I knew the Brewers have been sucking it up hardcore on the offense, but I didn’t notice that it was this bad. One third of their regulars are batting under .200!

Rickie Weeks is leading the group with a disappointing .189 batting average, with Mike Cameron at .194 and Mr. Strikeout Bill Hall is at an impressive .196 considering how often he strikes out.

It wouldn’t be so bad if this wasn’t the 44th game of the year, but the season is over a quarter done and they’ve been severely underperforming against their expectations. I had a lot of hope for this season and I was feeling very good after their 6-1 start, but it’s been nothing but disappointment since.

I’ll continue to watch and go to the games, because god damn they’re due, but I no longer have any expectations for the season. Without expectations, I can’t be let down again for the umpteenth year in a row.
